Giveaways & Competitions:
Participation in competitions is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose any information to us. Information requested may include contact information (such as email addresses) and demographic information.
By entering into the Shopscoop (Pty) Ltd Giveaways and Competitions (“Competition”), entrants agree to the rules set out below.
The competition is limited to residents of South Africa, and with the exception of the following people:
directors, members, partners, promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers, employees or consultants of Shopscoop (Pty) Ltd and organisers of the Competition, people who are not legal residents and legal citizens of the Republic of South Africa, spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of the persons specified above, Promoters of the competition; and individuals under the age of 18 years.
Shopscoop is not liable for the failure of any technical element relating of competitions that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
To participate, entrants must complete the competition requirements as set out by Shopscoop. Submission of entries will serve as acceptance by the entrants of all the terms and conditions hereto.
Participants may enter this competition as often as they want.
All valid entries will be entered into a random draw for the duration of the competition.
At the time that a potential prize Winner, is identified, the potential prize Winner will receive a telephone call or email from a representative of Shopscoop at which point he/she may be required to provide his/her valid ID and/or driver’s license to the Shopscoop representative. At the time of the telephone call or email, the potential prize Winner may also be required to answer various questions regarding his/her eligibility. The Potential prize Winner is not an actual Winner until his/her entry is validated and his/her documents are completed and submitted to Shopscoop.
Prize Winners will only qualify to receive ownership of the prize once all the prize Winner’s details have been verified and confirmed, including compliance with these rules and satisfying the qualifying criterion set by Shopscoop. If a potential prize Winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, the prize will be forfeited and a runner – up finalist will be deemed the potential prize Winner, subject to the terms and conditions herein.
All entrants must hold a valid South African identity document.
If Shopscoop are unable to reach any of the prize Winners within 48 hours of their name being drawn, for whatsoever reason, including incorrect telephone numbers or inoperative telephone numbers, such Winner will be disqualified and a draw for a new Winner will take place.
Prizes:
Shopscoop will arrange delivery of the prize to the winner through a third party (dependent on the winner's location). Shopscoop may participate in the hand-over process.
Courier of Prizes – Winners will be required to provide a day time residential address where prizes can be hand delivered.
When delivery is agreed, it is the responsibility of the Winner to avail themselves to sign for the prize. No one other than the prize Winner will be allowed to sign for the prize. The Winner will need to produce valid identification.
Should the Winner not be available at the times of delivery (as above), a second attempt will be made to arrange and deliver the prize. Should the Winner not be available after the second attempt, the prize will be forfeited and an alternative Winner will be drawn.
Winners may be required to sign acceptance of prizes and indemnity documents.
Winners will be announced through any means decided upon by Shopscoop.
Prizes will under no circumstances be handed over or paid to a third party, and will only be handed or transferred directly to the verified prize Winner. The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prizes are not transferable. No substitution, cash redemption or assignment of prizes is permitted, but the organisers of the competition reserve the right to substitute the prizes with one of comparable value for any reason.
By entering this competition you authorise Shopscoop and it’s promoter, to collect, store and use (not share) personal information of entrants for communication or statistical purposes. You are entitled to decline any marketing communication by unsubscribing on your profile page on the site.
The Winner or participants may be required to take part in publicity campaigns for broadcast or publishing purposes. Winners or participants shall at all times be entitled to decline the above request. Winners or participants that take part in any publicity will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise. All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of Shopscoop.
Shopscoop, its promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers and organisers shall not be responsible for any subsequent decline of acceptance of prizes for any reason.
