Opening a tourism business in the UAE is a promising option, as the country is one of the world's largest tourist destinations, attracting millions of travelers annually. Developed infrastructure, high-quality service, international events, and a favorable business climate make the tourism industry one of the most profitable in the region.

To start a tourism business, you must register a company and obtain a tourism license, which allows you to officially provide tourism services. Depending on the type of business, there are several types of licenses: for receiving tourists in the UAE, for organizing outbound tours, and for agencies that book flights and hotels.

A company can be registered either on the mainland or in one of the free trade zones. On the mainland, licenses are issued by the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET in Dubai, DCT in Abu Dhabi), and in free trade zones, by their administration. Registering in a free trade zone grants the entrepreneur the right to full foreign ownership of the business and tax benefits.
