Long, long ago, in the spring of 1995, The Beekeeper’s Apprentice came out as a Bantam paperback. Mass-market size, not today’s trade paper, but they made a big deal out of it and a pair of other new-to-them authors, with Edward Gorey art on display dumps and t-shirts.
