Nashville Repertory Theatre's production of the musical The Last Five Years kicks off at Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Johnson Theater on Sept. 10, and runs through the September 24, with previews September 8 and 9.

Thanks to the generous Nashville Rep folks, two lucky East Nashvillian readers are going to be gifted with a pair of tickets to a preview show. We have one pair for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8 and another pair for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9.

A quick primer on The Last Five Years:

Over the span of five years Cathy and Jamie meet, fall in love, marry, and divorce. The tale of their passionate, hilarious, and heart-breaking relationship is brilliantly told from beginning to end and from end to beginning at the same time. Cathy’s version starts with her final good-bye, while Jamie’s begins with the delight of meeting her. Through some of modern theater’s most exceptional songs, each partner unfolds their account of the relationship – crossing in the middle at their wedding.
