On Saturday, Jan. 14 at The Basement East, a huge crew of talented performers will celebrate and honor the lives of incredibly talented artists we lost in 2016, at the tribute/benefit show "Sing Me Back Home.”

The honored luminaries: David Bowie, Leon Russell, Leonard Cohen, Prince, Merle Haggard, Guy Clark, Sharon Jones, Lemmy, Ralph Stanley, Paul Kantner & Signe Anderson (Jefferson Airplane), Glenn Frey (The Eagles), Floyd August (Flying Burrito Brothers), Maurice White (Earth, Wind and Fire founder), George Martin, Phil Chess (cofounder of Chess Records), Phife Dog (A Tribe Called Quest) and George Michael.

The performers: members of Old Crow Medicine Show, Margo Price, The Lone Bellow, Phosphorescent, Jessie Baylin, Andrew Combs, Rayland Baxter, The Blackfoot Gypsies, Cedric Burnside, Lera Lynn, The Watson Twins, Banditos, Ashley Wilcoxson, Erin Rae, Legendary Shack Shakers, Christopher Paul Stelling, Indianola, Abigail Washburn, The Minks and Ian Ferguson, plus some great surprise guests.

Organizers Wildwood Revival have also chosen to partner with a charity called the Polaris Project, which is working to end human trafficking. Benefits from the event will go to support that work.

We’re proud to be sending a lucky East Nashvillian reader, plus one, to the show. Enter our quick giveaway through this form; we’ll choose a winner at the end of the day on Friday.
