Take a 60s cult movie, set it to a new operatic score, add live singers and orchestra, and you get a fantastic night of over-the-top fun. Hercules vs Vampires, a new opera by Patrick Morganelli, was written to accompany Mario Bava's 1961 cult movie of the same name, a sword-and-sandal film that is wildly operatic in scope.

Follow Hercules on his quest to rescue Dianara from eternal enslavement by an evil vampire-master. We'll project the film in its entirety as the new operatic soundtrack is performed live by opera singers and orchestra. (Sung in English with projected English supertitles!)

We’re excited to invite a lucky East Nashvillian reader, plus one, to join Nashville Opera on Saturday, Jan. 27, for this one-night-only event. Show starts at 8 p.m. in TPAC's Jackson Hall, but attendees can come early to enjoy a photo booth, costume contest, and an insights talk with Hercules composer Patrick Morganelli and Nashville Opera CEO & Artistic Director John Hoomes.

Enter through this form; we’ll choose and announce a winner on Thursday, Jan. 25.

Wanna make sure you’re in the house? Tickets are just $26 and $45, and available for purchase online through TPAC.

Happy entering!
