We’re about to dive into a season of heavy eating, so it’s probably a good time to stock up on opportunities to eat a little… lighter.
Need inspiration? Kawai Poké Co. recently opened in East Nashville, bringing “the flavors, culture and hospitality of Hawaii” to our neighborhood. Pronounced “pohkay,” the restaurant’s titular dish features bite-sized cubes of fresh marinated seafood, served over a bed of rice or mixed greens and topped with an assortment of fresh vegetables, pickled condiments and flavorful sauces.
Also on the Kawai menu: smoothies and smoothie bowls with fruit, nuts and more.
To help get you acquainted, our new neighbors have $25 gift cards up for grabs for two lucky East Nashvillian> readers. Enter through this form; we’ll choose and announce two random winners on Thursday, Nov. 15.
Meantime, get to know Kawai Poké Co. better at kawaipoke.com, and swing by 901 Woodland St. Ste. 105 — they’re open Monday through Saturday 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday 11 to 4.
